Last updated: September 25, 2026. Danceteria is a small independent project. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what we do with it.

The Advance List

If you join the Advance List, we collect your email address, the page you signed up from, and the date and time. We also store a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address, which we use only to spot spam and abuse; it can’t be turned back into your address. We do not ask for your name, and we do not sell or share your email address.

We use your email to send updates about the Danceteria book, stories from the archive, and news of any campaign or release. Every message will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by replying to any Danceteria email.

The shop

If you buy something, we collect what’s needed to fulfil your order: your name, delivery address, email and order details. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.

Cookies and third parties

The site uses only the cookies needed to run the shop and your cart. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers when you visit. If we add an email service provider or analytics later, we’ll update this page.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or unsubscribe at any time. We keep signup and order data only as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations.

Changes

If this page changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top.
